Snowing at twilight

Must admit, I had not taken a picture for a couple of months.

Just as it started getting dark, the snow came down. Fairly uncommon event in the south.

Nice. We had the merest dusting last night, but it has been cold and the hoar frost was spectacular.

It’s not often we see snow on palm trees…

The first snow can be lovely. Last year a gentle snow began to fall on Christmas night. It was delightful, especially since my daughter and son-in-law had just driven up from Southern California. The snow kept falling, though, and by the next day we were snowed in. I had enough beer to get me through it, though.

Been 6 below at night here too. Pushing the limit of what those trees can survive, they are not built for it.
