Snowy Trees

I took this one on our neighbour's land about ten years ago. There is a footpath that runs up to the main road and I had a mind to check it out and return via the lane. Unfortunately if there were any tracks they were covered in snow and in spite of keeping to the edges of the fields, I got hopelessly lost. I didn't really mind as I was having fun with my old OM2n and Ilford HP5. The shapes of this half-fallen tree caught my eye and although it is one of my personal favourites, it's a nightmare to process. I made a new scan over Christmas and had another go...

Nice Lesley. I like the flow from right to left and the way the more vertical elements break into that and run parallel to each other.

beautiful! b&w works well with this. great comp., it looks busy with all of the little branches, but the two large trees really pop out.
