Some Night Photography

These were taken a while back. I have only recent worked out what I wanted to do with them. Although a lot of the lighting was various bright colours I though going BW was the way to go as there was too many distracting colourful things in the images and I like the shadows best in these.

Taken with a Nikon P7000 at ISO800. I think I rested it on some railings because of the long shutter times.

Wow, so much to look at in all photos.
Fabulously excicuted! ..... And how sharp?!!! Impressive mate, very impressive!

Definitely a lot to see in these photos. I agree that color might have been too busy. My favorite is the second.

Great idea to go to B&W - loving the tones in #3 and the way the reflection in the sea looks like icicles

I love the capture of movement in #1 and high perspective shot of the area in #2, as Dan and Ralph said, lots of interesting subjects in it.

Were these taken using a 50mm lens?

Thanks again guys for the comments.
Hamish, These were taken at either ISO 800 or 1600 in Aperture mode and the cameras inbuilt auto NR turned on. It only activates if it detects high noise levels and seems to do a reasonable job. I presume it changes the RAW file - one of the few things that does.
