The Burning Bush: This wee tree was on fire, compared to what was around it.

I had a similar shot to this last year (which, of course, you all remember!)...

The first one look almost as shot with infrared sensitive film :) the colors must be extraordinary. The second and third shots look amazing to me, just the right balance of black and white. Great work!

Cheers, Martin. I saw that tree from 100 yards away, and went running towards it before the light changed. It was as if the sun had just picked it out, just for a few moments. I'm glad I caught it.

Magnificent Rob, ... I mean the first one and how you did it. That is not something that happens every day. Like the others too, but more so the second one.

Really nice set again Rob. I have my eyes on some birch leaves that are glowing in a similar way. I like the leaves. Like little oysters. There wasn't some chap strolling along with a walrus nearby was there?! And the broken windows are very nice. Although the second is my favourite I like the holes in the stonework near the broken window. Fourth shot on target!

It is. The Walrus and the Carpenter from Through the Looking Glass.

"O Oysters," said the Carpenter,
"You've had a pleasant run!
Shall we be trotting home again?'
But answer came there none--
And this was scarcely odd, because
They'd eaten every one.
