The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran is a masterpiece I read in Turkish 30+ years ago. I re-read it in English in 2010. In both languages, it is universal and moving. I find this childhood photograph of my son, and the way we raised him fitting to the section about children from The Prophet.

I first read The Prophet about 30 years ago. I have a copy in the hall cupboard and I bring it out from time to time. It's quite possibly my all time favourite book. I love your photograph too and it fits with that passage so well
