Sorry About the Grain on This...

...but I had made the exposure in haste lest the lady move away, and unfortunately I underexposed the image rather seriously. It was expired film too, so maybe that didn't help. Anyway, I managed to pull some color and light back out using Lightroom, but grain came along too.

I shot this at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art last Sunday using a Mamiya 7 and expired Portra 800 film.

Nice shot, Brian. Hope you don't mind, but I've run it through Nik Dfine, which has got rid of much of the grain, but slightly blurred the image.

I think all the grain has done something to the colours that make them more interesting IMO. A fine image as is.

I like the composition a lot Brian and agree with Hamish that there is probably a happy medium between the grain and a noise reduced version.
