Speed graphic carry case restoration

Hi all,
I have picked up a vintage speed graphic camera and carry case, any tips on restoring the case?
The metal work is easy but what would you recommend on the fibre board body of the case?

I'm pretty sure they were made using vulcanised fibreboard (the same material Globetrotter use for their luggage). There seem to still be a few suppliers, for example:

but you might end up with a bit left over: it seems it comes in 2m x 1m sheets.

Have you got a picture of the case? I have a couple of old fibreboard cases knocking around that might actually be the same - I have a couple of Speed Graphics, but keep them either in a bag or on a shelf.
