Aw! you have just put up more images with that beautiful toning that you use. It seems compositions with horizontal bands are all the rage on here lately. So interesting how such a simple thing can have so many variations that look stunning.
Thanks Beth , It was the deck of a ship with a heavy green mooring rope. The black horizontal line is the tar between the deck planks. I sat for ages in a rain shower watching the drips leaving a tarpaulin covering. Yes I did want the shot I got and it was planned with a shallow depth of field. I had a lucky press of the shutter button. It was one of ten shots. Enjoyable though and has given me ideas for rainy days.
