Storm over Potsdam

Not an especially good image but I was so surprised that it came out this well that I decided to post it anyway. I didn't have a tripod in the apartment so, while watching an electric storm to our west last night, I thought I'd try a few hand-held, long (B) exposures. This was 24 seconds, stabilised by pressing the lens hood against the glass of the window!

Leica M Monochrom + Zeiss Distagon M 18mm f1:4.0. ISO 320, f1:5.6, 24s. PP in LR / Nik SilverFx Pro 2.

Thanks Dan. The part I was amazed by was the buildings etc lit by street lighting. I thought there would be far more wobbles! The clouds were easy as they were lit by the big flash (actually 2).

It has a feeling of a space ship about to appear out of the clouds...

Just goes to show how a couple of Vienna style lagers can steady the hand! Good one, Pete. The houses are indeed lit up nicely, and I like the look of the clouds.
