Critique Welcomed Streetwalkers 3 and 4

I didn't get much reaction on RPF to Streetwalkers 1 and 2 (only Rob commented, thank you Rob) so perhaps there is little interest (understandable) or maybe the timing of the post wasn't ideal. Anyway, here are two more both shot with the Oly XA3. Streetwalker 3 was on Broadway Street in downtown Long Beach, and Streetwalker 4 was on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore (a small and picturesque area of Long Beach).

Me again!

I like how the two portly men have more lithe shadows. A smarter man than me could work out the time of day from that evidence alone.

But I love most of all the portrait of Wullie Well-Dressed in the second image. It's funny how we still walk with opposite arms and legs moving together: left leg, right arm, and vice-versa. Must be an evolutionary hangover from running on all fours - not that I believe in evolution, of course. God in his finite wisdom made us that way for a porpoise.

Thanks Rob,...long shadows pointing east = late afternoon. But how are you to know that is east? Wullie Well Dressed had a jaunty gait.

However, you're wrong in your belief that porpoises are descended from humans. Nothing could be further from the truth. ;)

Me too as old newbie. Saw Your streetwalker 1 + 2 as well and enjoyed them as I do for these ones. My favourite is number 4, direction of walking and looking seems different.
I tried to do similar shots some time ago, waiting at the traffic lights at the morning rush hour. The photos are still stuck on film. The single ones I recognized clearly indicated more testing to done. Felt as you.

Excellent again Brian as I mentioned in your street walker 1+2 ;)
The one for me is the guy in the second, somehow he manages to introduce some movement to the image. Must say you do keep your windscreen very clean.

...but the guy in the last pic doesn't have a shadow...could be no sun, but could also mean....

Thanks very much Detlef.

Thanks Julian. (The windscreen cleans uo well in a rain.)

I know where you're going with this Dougie,...and you're right! It was a terribly overcast day in Southern California.)

I haven't gat as far as 1 and 2 yet, but I will. Great observations from Rob and I too like the skinny shadows. But the second is the most compelling of the shots with frozen footfall and the looking away. Also, those shoes remind me of those rocking toys.

Thanks Pete. The rocking toy reference is right on. That's what it looked like to me also.
