Upstairs at my local Barnes & Noble bookshop. Shot with the Oly XA and Kodak Portra 400 film.

Excellent Brian. I do like those tones. For one moment there I was quite shocked to see two young people in the same photograph absorbed by real books. Then I noticed the smartphone in the hand of the one on the right!! I can imaging his twitter feed, "In bookshop looking at a thing made of white stuff. Anyone know what its 4". ;)

LOL. Thanks Pete.

Nice one again Brian, Particularly like the shadows, they are almost a shot on their own
Thanks Kev. It was the shadows I really wanted, but I was shooting in ninja mode because I felt awkward about taking pics of people inside the shop. So, I couldn't compose through the viewfinder and or course didn't get quite what I wanted. Here's another I shot which shows the shadows better but is blemished I think by the darkness on the left.

Loving the shadows - would make a good B&W I think :)

Maybe I'll go back late this afternoon, Chris. (It's never a bother to visit a book shop.) I have a few BW frames left in my XA.

I prefer the second shot too Brian
the book stand gives context, there is more to see outside the window, the shadows are more of the subject and the framing is much more interesting generally ... I like it!

Thanks Hamish. You've confirmed what the others think and what I didn't at first,...even though I liked the shadows better in the 2nd one. Much appreciated, Hamish.
