Very nice peter. How would it look with a tighter crop omitting some of the greenery on the bottom right and the white bud?

Very nice Peter, as Tim suggested, I think you could lose some of the foliage on the right and you either need to lose the bud at the bottom or include all of it.
The colours and the background work very nicely, though.

Yep - to be really picky I'd say go fraction further, and eliminate the top half of the stem which now sits along the right hand edge.
