Summer Rain

Taken looking across the fields from my bedroom window in Greywell. I'd ignored this image until I was discussing some ideas about taking shots of rainy streets etc with Asun and to illustrate what I was was thinking I processed this image. I'm pleased I did now.

Nice Pete, there could of been a danger of it being just a photo of some fields but the rain adds that extra dimension to it. I also like the PP.

The rain creates another layer, and texture to the image. this is why we should go out and shoot in the rain because quite simply we don't see enough of this sort of shot. nice one Pete

Brilliant idea & done a great job. Did you use flash? to light the rain to make it stand out??

Thanks all. No flash, just ambient light and a slowish shutter speed. It was raining pretty hard and I also chose the PP with care to bring the rain out at bit.

Brilliant all around

The colours are fresh and perfectly fit the theme

The detail in the cloud is lovely, and helps form that interesting structural wedge in the image center

The PP to get the rain to show up as texture is just genius - didn't even know it was possible!
