Sunbathin' on the Redneck Riveria.....

Friday PM at the lake. I traded some some things (including a pair of Polk speakers I wasn't using, no kidding) for a Voigtlander 40mm in the hopes of making the Nikon smaller. It was only a marginally successful endeavor. :) The shot of Ruby on the bridge is a test with 40mm at F2. The others are the X Pro + 35mm. I think I just prefer that camera. The metering system seems to work better on it. I'm still learning about cameras but the Nikon seems to require more exposure compensation. I think it's just too good/complicated of a camera for me. I got it on the advice of someone on another forum. That person was a good photographer..I'm not. I am very happy with the Fuji. It's too bad there are so few camera stores these days where you can actually go hold cameras and test them out. I'm not even sure there is one in Austin, TX which is the nearest actual city to where I live.

they look like they could use a tad more contrast to me, but i'm at work using crap monitors so it might be my problem and not yours.

really great poses, and beautiful golden light. love the one on the bridge, brilliant environment and everything just works. love the low perspective and wide angle in the first.
