On our trip to the US back in June this year, my wife and I made a nostalgic stop-over at Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. The night we arrived, we found a motel, had an early dinner and headed off up the mountain to see what was on offer in the way of a sunset.
This has to rank as one of the most stunning sunsets I have ever witnessed.
This one is shot across east away from the setting sun and across the crater of Mount Mazama in Crater Lake National Park.
The ones below were shot west from the west rim of the crater and towards the sun setting, over the Umpqua National Forest.
