Tales Of The Riverbank

It stems from my time shooting film, going out knowing I was shooting b&w. It just made me view things differently, take shots I wouldn't do in colour. I think that was a valuable lesson, and I like to get a bit of that into my digital work.

Last one's magical Rob...what are you using for processing...is it all Elements...?

Hi Dougie. All three shots were just edited in Sigma Photo Pro, the propriety raw editor for the Merrills. I then added the borders in Elements, maybe adjusting the exposure a little, and creating the jpeg version.

I do have Nik Silver Efex, but find myself using it less than I did with my previous cameras. I do use it occasionally, though, but not here.

Glad you like it.

The first two remind me of some scary creature rising from the deep. There's a definite snout, ear and eye:). Like the simplicity of the last one and how the light picks out the one cluster.
