Critique Welcomed Tea Meeting

Brilliant. I love the overall tones you've used and the way the green face of the column divides the frame and separates the closely huddled group from the solitary figure. The use of the vertical composition and the space it contains really adds to the feel and emphasises the intimacy of the group.

awesome sense of scale Paul - I'd be tempted to clone out the cable as it rather cuts across the comp

Makes a super sepia B&W - hope you don't mind

Reminds me of the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo, but I bet the residents are more animated ;)

Not at all Chris and I like the addition black border too. The purist in me decided to leave the cable in, maybe I should have took my wire cutters and just removed it before I took the photo. Or I could clone it out and tell myself that's what I done.

So convivial. I can imagine conversations echoing & the aroma drifting to invite passers by.
I must confess to having a thing for Victorian tea houses & outdoors cafes. Each country seems to have its slightly unique take.

The framing of the tall arches, giving the sense of mass and height, is really cool. It reminds me of one I took of diners a couple of years ago at the Getty Center. I like what Chris has done with it, too.
