Testing a Yashica D, the canal again and two other places

When I did that canal walk a while back (Scenes from a towpath) I also took along a recently acquired Yashica D loaded with Gold 200 for testing. I doubled up on some shots for comparison purposes.

Next outing was a walk round the Isle of Dogs in east London where I had a few failures because of poor light. This is reasonable though.....

Two frames left and I went to the Victorian Winter Garden in a local park.

Basking in the light from a skylight Galatea is always a tricky subject which is why she's a favorite of mine.

I can live with these results.

Thanks Pete, I reckon I've struck lucky with this one.
The statue is always a good test of things, not least my own ability to get the exposure right!

Those are cracking results Peter. And the D has the 3-elemnt lens I believe. Great contrast and colour. The tone range in the Giaconda shot is impressive from the Gold 200, helped by spot on exposure of course.

Thanks Tony. Yes, the D has a simple 3-element lens and is none the worse for it.
Gold 200 seems to work much better in medium format than it does in 35mm, almost a completely different in fact.
