The Advance

When I first visited this area over 10 years ago there were no wind turbines to be seen. Then the tips of a couple became visible on the horizon. Year by year they march closer!

I hear the Voice of Richard Burton..'No one would have believe that.......' DadadaAAAAAAA!

and a very nice shot as well :)

Alien invaders indeed!! And I guess John Betjamen would have been apoplectic had he still been alive. Never mind, ..."Bestride your hills with pylons..."

Thanks Kev. I have several shots attempting to get something pleasing out of the effects of the wind in the Barley. I need to get them onto a bigger screen though.

I love the movement in the barley, Pete. I think you've got the amount of movement just right, and it offers a graceful and natural counterpoint to the pylon and windmills. Very nice shot.

I have 'Wind Power' by Thomas Dolby playing in my head Pete - lovely contrast of man vs nature

Scatter the seed and furrow in our land, the future is roses, roses Wind Power

They are advancing across Montana too. The invaders are taking over the planet.
