Well,...he was once a boy I suppose. I took this last Tuesday evening at the weekly Huntington Beach Street Fair.
I was disappointed by this shot and everything else on the roll it came out of. The film was Arista EDU 400 that I shot at 1600 and then processed using a "semi-stand" development technique, allowing the film to remain in the developer (Rodinal) for 2 hours. I used a dilution of 1:100 and shot the film with my Canon T70. (By the way, the Arista EDU 400 is rumored to be re-branded Foma.)
Perhaps I should have used a stronger dilution because every image was darker than I would have thought it should have been. Either that or my camera is underexposing.
(Why did I do "semi-stand" instead of a more normal dilution and push process? Because I was developing two rolls of film in the same daylight tank. The other was Ilford HP5 which I had shot at box speed).
