Critique Welcomed The Buffalo

There is a wildlife refuge near my house and I enjoy visiting to try and a get great Buffalo shot. This is the best one so far.

A striking beast and I like the way the shape of its back mirrors the mountain behind.

I often think that shots of wildlife benefit from more space and context rather than 'focussing' on the animal itself.

The first thing I noticed was the similarity between the back of the animal and the mountain ridge. It makes for a strong picture. I would have liked a bit more foreground though, with grasses.

I like the idea of a little more foreground but wouldn't want to sacrifice having the mountains in the image. Nice image of a majestic creature!

What a majestic animal. That is a fine shot, the distant mountains give a sense of scale to the scene. I do agree, a bit more space around him would look even better.
