#2 is more interesting for the street scene I think, most people oblivious as usual except for the one guy that is looking at the bus guy. Just a shame that I caught him at slightly the wrong moment, eyes closed and feet halfway thru a waltz.

the light though, was tremendous. it rained heavily for an hour, then the sun came out and spotlighted this guy.

Peter...I really like #1. IMHO...I think the combination of light and mystique of what he is doing/thinking is more interesting than the more "normal" position of #2.

Hi Peter,

I actualy realy love the first shot.

I agree that the second one does give more of a sense of his surroundings and situation.

But for some reason, I am drawn to the first shot. I am not even sure why... But maybe that s a good thing. Art is supposed to grab your attention and make you think right?

I think it almost looks like a still from a film. The lighting is just spot on. It looks like it was an organosed shoot, not street photography.
he looks almost like he is part way though a musical scene, or something theatrical. I think its the lighting, and DOF that does it.

Looks great anyway, Wish I had taken it :-)

Cheers,

Andy.

Hi Again Peter,

I Purposely did not read the other replies before posting, I always do that so I dont give a biased response.

It was interesting to see that Pete also remarked on the Dance routine musical theme.
Great shot!

The first one is like the pause before the music starts - with the lighting on him, the dark backdrop, the reflection on the wet road - wonderful stuff.

The 2nd is more complex, so the subject and story isn't as clean & clear to me - although I like the guy on the right who's spotted the subject and is checking him out

Yeah, I'm seeing what seems to have been recognised in the first by a few folks. To me it looks like a bit out of that micheal Jackson film ... ... I could imagine him flicking a coin into a juke box and then leaning forward to a seemingly impossible angle
