Took Sadie for walkees the other night and liked the look of the lights of a car's headlight through the gloaming. Kneeled down on one knee and used the other for a tripod. Somewhat unsuccessfully.

Olympus XA and Kodak Portra 400 film.

I suspect a tot or two of whiskey were involved ;)

Looks like a shot from a UFO encounter Brian

Another excellent shot from the 'Nighttime with Sadie' phase of your Indistinct Period there Brian. It is not obvious what the lights are and I like the slight movement in the shot and the lovely muted blue/grey of the sky. Definitely worth the grubby knee!! :)

I like it to be fair Bri.. :) very interesting

This image has been niggling at me all day as it reminds me of something. I think I have it now though. Although not managed and on a smaller scale (and significantly smaller budget - even when taking into account Sadie's exotic taste in literature), it reminds me of the feel of a Gregory Crewdson image. It's the sky and the mysterious light and roof lines - have a look at 'Brief Encounter' and some of the images from "beneath the Roses.

Pete don't know about BE but there is defo something in this that is somewhat surreal, the only wheel marks in the snow, no other vehicles apparently moving, the relative stillness and cold. everything about this is screaming 'something is going to happen...for me anyway, love the flat sky and the single motor and are they allowed to pass an amber?

That's what I like about Crewdson. The feeling that you are looking at something that is just about to happen or has just happened but you're not sure what. The effort that goes into these shots is staggering (as is the budget - these are $400K - $500K productions in many cases).

Dan, Emma, Pete,...thank you.

Pete: I took a look at Crewdson's work (I was unfamiliar with him). The scale of his "productions" is incredible You're right, me and Sadie work on a much smaller scale and budget. ;) Thanks again.
