The Disk-O Spins Skyward

I shot this one at the Orange County Fair last year with my Canon F1 and Canon FD28mm lens. I was using Walgreens 200 ASA film. (Fuji.)

I was shooting straight into the sun and I under-exposed, so the colors were a bit dull. So I clicked "Boost" within the Picassa editing tools to add a little to the color.

That worked out rather well Brian, nicely saturated final colors, and I like the grainy feel - interesting how the shutter action has distorted the subjects

I agree, the distortion does indeed make the shot. And it really does look like they are headed up rather than round (did you actully see any of them get off after the ride?).

They were headed up Pete. That machine spins 'em whilst oscillating forth and back like a pendulum. But no, I didn't wait around to see any of 'em stagger off. (Airborne vomit is a hazard at such machines.)
