The Fire place

Dan Down - The Steampunk Womble
This fire place was huge, you could stand up in the thing!
This was last nights exploration (sorry I didn't ring Hamish, last minute thing (but I have loads more places in mind you'd like))
Unfortunatley I can't give (but hint) a location of this destination, as it may land me into some trouble, just got to wait for the waters to settle first. ;) put it this way, Me and Shaun the Sheep were in close proximity of the police at ALL times...... at one stage we learned how to stealth step away from an approaching security guard!!! The grounds were HUGE, with many signs dotted around the place stating that trespassers will be prosicuted, I think.. I...I didn't see that, it was dark...a friend told me! :) Lol
MAN!! THIS URBEX THRILL IS ADDICTIVE!!!
For those who live in Worcs my know excactly where I mean when I say it's the main road into a particular police Head Quarters.....somewhere ;)

We remained in this room for most of the 4 hours we were there as it was around the back and pretty much out the way from line of sight.lol
Here are some of the results of what Has been acheived. Nothing serious, just a bit of a mess around and some experimentals.... Left the mask in the car! doh

Here are some of the results

Thanks for looking guys :)

Hey, Nice one! I like the colour version of the fireplace best. At first my preference was for the BW version but then I realised that there is actually more texture in the colour version and the colours are really nice. I thought trespassing was a civil matter and the police cant actually do very much, it is up to the owner of the land to pursue the matter in court. However I wouldn't take that as gospel though.

I'm actually not sure... but..... I've been told that the grounds may now belong to the police since the closure (found out after the visit of course)...... hence, letting the waters settle for a bit.... lol.

I noticed the coloured version and the B&W differences in texture when added to the forum, and I'm with you on that one, I do prefer the coloured version now. Thanks Paul. :)

Great Find Dan, Ahem Reckon I know roughly where you be at, Awesome Fireplace and the colour version is the one for me it holds the textures better I think.

I won't tell the plod you were there but hope you covered up your boot prints mate :D:D:D:D they are all over the place talk about leaving a trail...:D:D:D

#1 is awesome!! Actually they're all awesome..
Dan I hink you're a bad influence.. first making me want to play with fire.. now to go out and find rundown places to trespass! haha ;)

#1 looks like someone is practising for their big entrance as Santa in a few weeks time.....:D

At this point should I mention that I shall not be held responsible for anyone undergoing such activities of stupidity or danger that I carry out resulting in the influenced becoming hurt, arrested, or even publicly humiliated by wearing gask masks. So when your sat in jail, with a broken leg, watching yourself on the news...... It wasn't me!! :D :D :D

Dan - you're nuts, but you already know that! :D

Like the colour shot - did you stick the flash up the chimney then???

Thanks chris, I've been called many other things, but not nuts. :D :D

I certainly did stick the flash up the chimney on those 2 shots.... Well spotted! :)
there was 2 pin brackets just in there (funk knows what for) and I hung the flash with a gorilla pod on them. Sorted!! :)
Just a bit of experimental stuff. :)

There's a few in Hanley I've got my eyes on, the trouble is, thy keep getting knocked down. Lol
In my full time job I used to work as a drainage engineer, or to others a poo sucker, and I remember jetting these lines through on a housing estate a few years back that was 90% derelict (which I thought was pointless) but never the less, plenty of photography potential. I should imagine its knocked down now. Its somewhere in Stoke, do you know where I mean Dave??
