Critique Welcomed The Fuller Brush Man Returning From Catalina

I love everything about this image Brian. The guy with all his paraphernalia, a bit of a Charlie Chaplin type character, has a mysterious and comical presence as he makes his way across the beach.
The sky is excellent and unusual in that it looks a bit like the sea surface with light glare on it; by turning the image upside down this becomes more noticeable.
All in all a brilliant image with it's own very special mood.

Excellent Brian. The sand where people have walked is superb along with the pole and rope, which breaks up the space. A character of mystery as I cannot make out if that is his homely belongings are his beach paraphernalia .
Super superb.

Thanks, Tom. You've put into words some things that define this image yet that I failed to find the words for myself. To me it just looked odd, but he is certainly chaplinesque now that you mention it and there is certainly a comedic value to his look. Thank again, Tom.

Thank you, Julian. Much appreciated.

I really like Tom's interpretation of this fine image; an inverted world. And I'm more than a little intrigued by the post and lines and their placement works well. I'm pretty sure he is heading back to that raised area of sand to complete his task of estimating that timeless conundrum of whether 7 maids with 7 mops could clear the beach of sand in half a year and prove that his particular brand was more than capable of the task!
