Critique Welcomed The Goodyear Blimp

Its paddock is adjacent to the northbound side of the 405 freeway in the city of Carson, which is about 10 or 15 miles south of Los Angeles. I don't always use the 405 to get to and from work, but when I do sometimes the blimp is in the air, as it was one day last week as I was heading south after work.

Olympus OM-2N and Kodak Ektar 100 film.

Nice Brian,. Is this one handed or elbows on the steering wheel?
Thanks, Julian. I was in the front passenger seat and shot the image through the windshield. Even though I had no driving responsibilities, this image took a little time to compose. To get this one-handed while driving would have required a bit of luck.

Yes I've asked my daughter on occasions to grab the camera, say going over the river seven bridge or somewhere you cannot stop. It is hard in a moving car to get a good shot.

If I'm driving I'll sometimes shoot one handed if I have a P&S camera. I keep my eye on the road, though, and just point the camera in the general direction of my subject and hope for the best. However, shooting with anything other than a P&S while driving is asking for trouble.

Hempcon - only in LA! :D

Nicely done Brian - I like the contrast of the peaceful flight over the crazy traffic

I'm still reeling for the shock of misreading two thread titles on the trot. First there was my puzzlement over the absence of a dead body in one of Nick's images and now I find that I'm not looking at a selfie after all!

Great evening colours in this Brian and I like the opposing directions of the blimp and the traffic. And what's so odd about a convention on a highly useful bast fibre?! ;)

I don't quite get the selfie comment, but I have a feeling it requires me to call you a cheeky bugger again! :p

And as to Hempcon,...I see your point, Pete. Its all about rope, that convention.
