Brilliant Brian. Looks as though they are running away from something rather than toward something. Something often joggers manage to do. Simply love that location and the pier in the graininess .
... and the loneliness comes over very strongly in the empty expanses. The title is perfect for a fine image. I think the grain is a bit heavy too Brian; I'm not a great fan of grain anyway except in certain images and often find that it looks odd especially in light skies.
Brought me back to the book many many years ago and a good read it was; can't remember the writer , was it Stillito or something sounding like that. Also a film I think.

Like the image a great deal, love to see that man waiting and get rewarded but like Tom, the grain I feel, pardon me for saying so, is well, - too grainy to my liking. Is that the film grain or added later Brian.

Thanks Ivar. I appreciate your comment about the grain. I, too, think its a little on the heavy side. No, the grain is not something I added in post-processing. It is a result of the film/developer combination (Ilford HP5/Rodinal) and perhaps in this case a little too much agitation of the tank by me while I was developing the film. Thanks again, Ivar.
