What a fine, natural portrait, beautiful captured by the photographer. I thought he had a hook near his left hip, but it could be an attempt at a pocket. She has a superb pose - beautiful. Wonder what happened to her thumb and index finger, left hand? Got them stuck in those jugs?

@Rob MacKillop the hook is actually to hang the water jugs once they are filled. The hook is connected by a cord to the brace you see behind the two of them The weight of the filled jugs is thereby supported by the shoulders and back. Fine image Pedro!

That sculpture really is a beautiful depiction of young love developing. I imagine a tryst between the two teens as they retrieve water for their respective families. They meet daily along the path to the well. Their parents are thinking,..."That kid of ours is sure slow to get the water these days!" But on the other hand,..."He/She don't complain about getting the water anymore,...wonder why?"
