The Most Colorful Piano In Town...

Wow! Also just notice the cables locking the seat to the piano and the piano to something. Seems like if someone really wanted to steal the piano and carry it away they would need some extraordinary equipment and a little cable lock wouldn't be that much of a problem to circumvent.

Who paints the pianos? Local artists?

Yes Ralph...they are donated by locals. Boston has 75 of them. Most will not make it through the weather...but they want them to at least keep honest people from wheeling them down the street.
From it's website "Touring internationally since 2008, ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’ is an artwork by British artist Luke Jerram. Reaching over three million people worldwide – more than 1,000 pianos have already been installed in 37 cities across the globe, from New York to London, bearing the simple instruction ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’. "

How intriguing Glenn (and very colourful)! And that looks suspiciously like it is near the steps under the statue at Prudential Central Plaza! Off to the Smokehouse were you?! ;)
You have obviously been there Pete...this was taken at the same time yesterday...

Wonderful!

I'd love one of those in my living room. :)

Nicely framed. :)

Wow - that's a color testcard right there!

This whole 'piano in the street' thing is just crazy - too much Boston Lager being consumed I reckon ;)
