i wanted the processing to make this a little different and retro, but i'm not sure about it.. processed in lr5.

shot on a cousin's farm in virginia over the weekend. they had a dairy farm, then the gov't decided that the dairy farm business was causing too much pollution , so they paid a bunch of the dairy farm in the area to find other work. my cousins turned their dairy farm into a vegetable farm/tourist attraction, complete with a farm market. they live on the farm where stonewall jackson lost his arm during the civil war, not far from where it's buried.

thanks guys. ellwood is the historic "farm" down the road, it's maintained by historic funds and i think it's probably owned by the gov't. but it's basically ellwood house and a field where the cemetery is where the arm is buried. but miller's farms a lot of land around it and sold some off to developers.

I like it a lot Beth - as Pete says, hot and summery

I like the way the tree and it's shadow wrap the subject - and the cumulus is lovely

Maybe a dismembered arm in the foreground for maximum impact? :D :D :D
