I think this is a lesson to many on how to do black and whites. Greatly done. In all humbleness do you use a certain program with your black and whites Dave?

Thanks Ivar - yes I use one of two. Either the black and white filter in Photoshop CC - often doing more than one conversion for different parts of an image then blending them using layer masks. Or I use Nik SilverEfex.

That's for digital shots. For black and white film shots I limit myself to basic levels and curves in PS - otherwise I may as well just shoot them digitally.
