For the space image I have in mind. I would crop it so that the crane vertical was horizontal and I'd add in more "space"...

It just flashed on my brain that this would look cool as a space structure.

This is a very strong tonal contrast! My retinas are suffering.
But the photo is artistically very beautiful, Brian, and definitely the non-architectural intruder, the crane (an element that is bound to disappear in the future) adds rather than subtract.

Thanks for your comments. By the way that crane is long gone. I took this picture a couple of years ago. The building is now complete and probably inhabited by now. (It was built to be apartments.)
