The Stones - After The Rain

These kind of stones...

I got absolutely soaked today, but it was worth it. These stones looked so beautiful after the rain.

Fuji XS1 - some were raw files, some jpgs with Velvia simulation. Some Nik filtering, mainly border and Pro Contrast, and darkening.

Talk about trying to get blood out of a stone...

I can't believe the price of the Fuji XS1 is now below 300 USD or Pounds Sterling. What a bargain! Mine was a Fuji Refurb, 100% condition, for £450, if I remember correctly.

I like them all but mostly " the heart of stone " which reminds me of an incident where my wife found someting similar. She said that's for you from me and I exclaimed; " What, a heart of stone?!" What a daft remark, eh?

Really nice - the last two are quite special in my opinion. Love the gold and copper tones of the last one.

Thanks, Keith. The last was a raw file, and I did quite a bit of tonal work on it in Adobe Raw and Nik Colour. Here's a straight-to-jpeg of the rather flat raw file. I'm always amazed at how flat a raw file can be, especially compared to the in-camera Velvia jpeg Fuji can muster. But it does mean you can do a lot with them, should you want to.
