The turbine room - the Tate Modern

Brilliant! The first one is epic!
Such a wide coverage as well.

That first one is superb Hamish. I love the way you have divided up the frame with the diagonals all over in teh RH two thirds and the remaining third divided horizontally in two. Even without the fine detail it is a fabulous exercise in composition.

Thanks both!
To be honest, neither come close to doing the place justice, it's HUGE!
But yeah, I like the first best too ... It's only 28mm Dan, and it's been straightened a touch so isn't even that wide ... The place is just massive so I got a lot in!

I like the Tate, might have to go back there soon :) you would need a crazy wide lens to get everything in lol :D

Wow - what an epic space Hamish

So what's it used for again - I was expecting to see turbines?

It was indeed - The Bankside Power Station.

It's such an amazing space, and you framed it beautifully, Hamish. Love the first one.

Should have left the turbines in situ so I'd have something other than 'art' to look at! :D :D :D

Sorry, could't resist

Props to Mr. Serota and the Tate for picking an industrial space for a gallery - that takes some b@lls :p

Just notice you managed to find a 1:1 shot of the power station Pete - amazing how you do that ;)
