The Waiting Game

I had been wandering around Liverpool for 8 hours with the nephew so he could try out his new camera, we visited a couple of museums, mooched around the shopping area and all the general sites of the city, by the time dusk fell to be honest i was knackered. On our way back into town for a gourmet meal of KFC (nephews choice) we came to this cobbled street down by the old docks that are now trendy bars & restaurants. I thought i would try something a little different so out came the tripod and i took a few shots with the 7D as the fuji batter was exhausetd, wow this is a decent scene i thought, but it really needs some people to make it looks so much better, so i waited...............

and i waited..............

and i waited.......................

And waited..................................

And waited some more.....................................

it was freezing cold, i was hungry and thirsty and very windy but i am a patient tog

so i waited some more.............................................

15 mins later i was getting a little agitated, so thought sod it there is no one about who has any sense so i took the camera off the tripod and shoved it back in the bag, then folded up the tripod clipped it back on the bag, shoved gloves on then turned around to see............................yes you guessed it 25 or so people coming out of the tate Art galley who WOULD have looked great in the street scene that lay before me. I really couldn't be bothered to set up again in a hurry to try and capture them so you guys on RPF will have to do with the image that could have been sooooooooooooooooo much better.

:D Great story, Daz. Kept me in suspense. However, I was not disappointed by the shot you have given us, for it is a treat. I love the inky blackness and the starburst lamps and the little bit of glare on the cobbles. Very nice fotie indeed!

Lovely B&W Daz

Haha! Typical hey!?
That's commitment though , well done for waiting.
And well for this shot!
