The Wall Test

I have walked round those walls several times and each time I was too tired to see the stones for the whole wall. I kind of like the way you have done it here Rob, albeit I can't put words to what I feel as I see them. Very crisp and the clarity is very good.

They look like really well-done hdr images. HDR in the way it was meant to be used, which was to increase the dynamic range of digital cameras. Far too many people use it to make images that look cartoonish.

Strange place for a letter box, possibly a joke.

Like Ivar, but more so, I walked passed this wall hundreds of times, and rarely gave it a second glance. Today I was seeing it for the first time, in a way. It's great to be inspired again, thanks to my new friends at Sigma!

John, no HDR used - not that you are saying there is: I'm just clarifying.
Yes, of course. You obviously knew what I meant. I've seen some hdr images that didn't really look like people think of when they think of hdr. They just looked like really good photos. I've tried my hand at it a few times to get more dynamic range and it works well if not overdone. What I haven't done is to do hdr on an image before converting to b&w. That sounds like it might be interesting. But not as interesting as your new quattro. :)
