I find a lot of Xmas indoor captures like this tend to have very cluttered backgrounds, so I tried the vignette to reduce the distraction.

"Just Dance" on the Wii kept people going for ages, and I snapped about 100 flash shots hoping for a good one. Compared with the dinner table or armchair mugshots it was a dream for capturing the party.

Nice one Tim. Did you say this was taken with flash? It doesn't have that look.

Yes Brian it was taken with my Speedlite 430EX II, mounted on camera and bounced off the ceiling.

I'm always so impressed with the Speedlite. The similar shot I posted in the Xmas Comp thread today was taken similarly.
