I hope you won't mind me asking Julian; did you do any selective work around each of the three people? I may be wrong here but there seems to be some evidence of some manipulation left behind that detracts from the image for me. It is mostly evident just above the horizon and around the men's upper bodies. Possible sharpening?

I agree with all the comments, including Tom's about the artefacts, unfortunately. Cracking shots, though, Julian, and if you could address the sharpening (is it that?) they would be perfect.

Yes I agree. I very much doubt if it is sharpening as I rarely use it. I did the complete opposite with both and decreased the clarity to soften the image. look back at the original, or tiff . I do and have had a problem, sometimes I take the tiff into Cs6 Raw to use the grads, I have noticed on one or two occasions that it churns out the Tiff looking a bit different than it looked in the programme. May be an issue there.

yes it is not a worry, nice when someone points it out, as I don't look at detail much at all and would miss such things. I'd probably see better things like this with a bigger screen, but not yet.

Julian I use 24"Apple Mac. And the only reason I got it was for it's display and it's perfect for the photography. However like all Apple products, they sell at rip off prices.. I do find the OS, in lots of ways, in comparison to Windows a pain in the posterior.
