The best time of the day, is waking up the sun from its seeming sleep. An image of three trees in Hidden Valley at sunrise. The poster does not reveal much. However, the detail crop does. 4x5 View camera with Schneider APO Symmar L 150mm/5.6, Ilford Delta 100 with Ilfotech DD-X, tripod.

Very good, Nihat. I thought the close up was the legs of a passing elephant...but I've only just woken up myself, and no coffee yet.
I love the composition on the first - perfection.

Very nice shots Nihat. I find the first to be a well done classic. The second is a unique...branches in the center...and interesting comp.

Amazing detail in the branches, and the crop really shows how much detail there is. (I wouldn't have perceived the fence at all if not for the crop.) Excellent, Nihat.

Thank you very much, Rob. They do look like... :)

Thank you very much, Pete. They strikingly stand together in very different spreads, as if somebody pruned them at their earlier age with some artistic purpose. Only the first one is a full grown tree. But the three of them make a different kind of one. If happened naturally, that is amazing.

BTW, I do like Natalie Merchant. Did not know her, but a striking voice.

Thank you, Paul. 2nd is a crop from the original image, to indicate how much we miss on a small size presentation, and how much there is especially in 4x5 film. We calculated a 4x5 film to be as much as an 820 megapixel image. Yet, I am not an expert with the digital realm.

Thank you very much, Brian. Every day is different. I had a slightly better vantage point the next day, yet fog was more than I wanted. I'll visit this place a few more times.
