Took a drive, with two cameras.

Since today is my last day off for the week - I thought why not brave the heat (even though it was cooler today than usual at ~102 degrees) and do some photo-ography.

I hadn't shot my Nikon F4S in a while, so I thought I would load it up with some UltraMax 400 and take it. I had some freshly charged AA batteries (it takes 6.) So I loaded them into the camera, fired off a couple shots pre-film installation to make sure everything seemed fine - and into the bag it went.

Since I also have a Nikon D800 that is the same lens mount, it went too. And it was a good thing - as the Nikon F4S decided it hated the rechargeable batteries after 12 shots. The battery check was showing nothing.

Most of the shots were taken with the D800. When I got home, I removed the batteries and plopped in some the cheapest AAs I have laying around - and the F4S sprung back into life. Go figure, tried to give it some fancy volts and all it wants is cheapo cuisine.

So anyway, here are some digital photos. Taken mostly with a Nikon 80-400F4.5 and maybe some with the Nikon 20-45F2.8.
