Thanks GlennAs always...wonderful colors. Those look a little thin and top heavy to me...stay out of the heavy wind I'd say. But if they've been around a 100 years...who am I to say such things?
Thanks Brian. If you can find any trams cars in Rutherglen, pls share with meLovely shots Aldous. When I was very young we still had tram cars rolling along Main Street in Rutherglen. Your post made me go look for some images on Flickr. Thanks Aldous.
Thanks Pete, I have exactly feeling as uI like the B&W but it is the cinematic quality of the colour image that I like so much.
Thanks Bethexcellent work, love the comps and tones.
Thanks ChrisGood catch - agree with Pete, they are very cinematic - almost like Tron or Bladerunner in #1
Thanks RalphVery nice!
Thanks KeithI really like the color versions as well. The lighting, color rendition and perspective give these a very cinematic feel, almost like something Crewdson would do. Outstanding.
The B&W version doesn't work for me primarily due to the tonal scale being wrong. I think a B&W version could be a strong image but you need a longer tonal scale - there seems to be too much near black to convey the mood like the color one does. It is an interesting example of the difference in how color and monochrome images work, as the color one is also pretty dark, but it "feels" different.
