Excellent Rob. I am not in favour of those light streaks , not when they happen to me, But these are quite different , morse code like , dots and dashes These are great light streaks.

What a fascination and effective image this is. It retains enough detail while having some ghost images overlaid. And the those flows of light! What is also fascination is the difference in the light trails. Notice that that ones from the cars and bus are constant in brightness along their length whereas the ones from the street lights vary in intensity along their length. DC vs AC supplies!

Thanks Julian and Pete. They are odd (I'm referring to the lines, not to Julian and Pete - though it works there too!). I was shooting through a window, hence the apparent ghosting.

Weird how the lights have moved quite a bit, yet everything else is relatively focused...

Was it a double glazed window unit...?

It is indeed a weird shot, and I wonder what made the top four streaks that dance over the image. It was a restaurant window - the whole wall was just glass, so I suppose it was extra thick. I never noticed double glazing, though I imagine the thick toughened glass had a few layers.
