Cold and windy at the beach today - there's a storm coming!

Just me and 'Indiana Jones' - so I made him the subject of my photo ;)

Thanks Pete, he was well into what ever he was listening to - never looked at me once!

No idea what it was he was dragging - looked like a giant popper scooper! :D

He was doing a grid search up and down the beach as the tide went out - probably looking for people's lost diving watches and stuff ;)

I always imagine these guys dig up a lot of nickels and dimes and bottle-caps.

It certainly looks bleak out there--more like UK than SD.

Nice shot Chris.

I also like the symmetry of the two objects he's carrying. In addition the line drawn in the sand is pretty nifty. Good shot Chris.

You sometimes searching around like this yields a find like the gold hoard found in England not all that long ago. I got to see that exhibit at the National Geographic in Washington D C. It's amazing.

Thanks Brian - I never saw him pick a thing up.. a lot of legwork if you ask me

Ralph - thank you - the symmetry thing seemed rather odd until I worked out he was dragging his scoop thingy to leave that line in the sand, showing where he'd already scanned - Genius! :D

I tried shooting him from the other side, light behind me, but you lost the line in the sand that way - to be fair, there wasn't any chance of sun, just less dark skies in one direction that another.

Well, we are all learning something. LOL. Great photos. I too thought it was a UK location, as it is always black and white at the seaside here.
