Just one more. Still mulling these over but I do find the chaotic patterns fascinating.

Hasselblad 503CW + Zeiss Sonnar 180mm f1:4 onto a PhaseOne P45 back. ISO 100, 1/15s at f16. PP in LR and Nik ColorFX 4.

The best one yet, I think. Maybe because there is more depth, the lesser twigs, shall we say, get more of a billing. Very nice.

Thanks Rob. Yes, this was a different tree. It had less branches and was closer so I am shooting up at about 60º with the sun low, but in front of the camera rather than behind. These were actually the ones I had set out to shoot but I became engrossed in the movements of the others.

Pete very interesting and I certainly like them and the idea. They do have a resemblance to water reflections but more classy and intriguing.

Thanks both. This has been rotated 90º from the orientation of the original capture to gain a bit of symmetry. I agree Beth, reflections were what struck me when I was looking at them, but when you look closer that all changes.

It does have a water-like reflection doesn't it? Very nice and mix of delicateness and boldness. I wonder how they would look stacked?

Definitely the best in the series. I like the abstract nature of the leaves yet you can still make out that there are branches. A very nice modern art type of piece.

Seriously, I love these. The first especially; the tree tunk seems to anchor the image.

Thanks. I think the more successful of these tends to be the ones with at least one main stationary component. I too like this one.
