Critique Welcomed Tripoli Street Scenes

Got back from another trip to Tripoli at the end of last week. It is getting hot out there so didn't go out taking too many photos but did risk the fierce sun for a little while. Whether I have managed to capture the decisive moment or a pregnant one or something else seems to be a matter of contention by the recent article but I feel that I am getting better at this genre each time I try it and that's enough for me. Could do with a compact that can shoot raw at a reasonable rate though.

Thanks for looking.

What an interesting city Paul - how's the security situation these days?

You know me, I love the B&W shot at the fountain :)

Those long shadows and the low sun - so atmospheric

Hi Paul

Geat images which progressively got better as I scrolled through them. I particulary looked the mono chrome as well. Thanks for sharing

Hard to single out one shot, as they all have interest. Very different from your last selection. It really helps to see such images, rather than what we see on our TV screens. Well done!

Thank you for the positive comments. Security-wise it seems pretty good. It's my 3rd time back after the revolution and i have had no problems, even walking about at night on my own. I wondered if I should have done some more of the back lit shots monochrome but chose to do just the one in the end. I think the fountain shots are straight, I played about with them for a while and ended up deciding that the sweeping line going off to the horizon was given the appearance that the image was wonky when it was not. I settled for a slightly tilted image to try to find the middle ground.

If you have any suggestions on a better angle I would like to see them Pete. I am not sure I am 100% on what I have done TBH.
