X100S. The patrons kind of freaked on me when I got out the camera so I had to just concentrate on the doing the comforters..... They all just sort huddled around one washer and stared at me.

I've always wanted to shoot a laundromat, but haven't had the b@lls - nicely done

So did they really freak out when you whipped out the camera?

Yes, they really did. There were three people in there and they all sort crowded around one front loader and kind of stared at me. I wasn't going to take pictures of them. I mumbled something about wanting to see how my new camera worked and then put it up.

It is almost as if we are going backwards to a time where people think that a camera will suck out their soul. Nice set Steve, making me think about photographing my local launderette. I think it was decorated in the 70s right before a temporal anomaly struck it.

I like these kind of photographs, I have been mulling over idea recently but still undecided if it is a bit silly. A kind of English-cana, a degenerated land of toppled bird baths, freyed tweed, a place where no one drinks tea from bone china cups anymore.

I told you it was silly. If I can make it into something a bit more serious I might go ahead.

What a great eye for an opportunity! And 'under fire' too...

I really connect with mundane things when they become interesting due to the right kind of attention. They are all keepers for me, but the first one is very strong. The content looks so dated, and the lines lead so well.

On the one hand I'm envious, on the other I'm not sure I would have had the required courage. I'm assuming the patrons were not armed.

Are they SOOC? Any VSCO in there?

I love number 4!
Filled with interest with a little bit of added mystery of the door...
Compositionally very good too id say!
I really like that photo!

Thanks!!!!!!!! I had some other shots I wanted to take with the X Pro and 14mm. But honestly the other customers were making me kind of nervous. There was this one rather large man who didn't look pleased that I had a camera in there. I have to go back to wash the sofa covers this weekend in a front loader. With the dogs I got these sofas from Ikea where you can remove the covers. It rained the last two days so they are covered with mud. :D

It's weird down here with the cameras. When I lived in Boston or Miami no one would have paid a bit of attention.

Steve Superb, Love them, they are all brilliant but especially like the second one with the seat and tiled floor.
I suspect if you had taken out an IPad and stuck that up they would have been ok about it, these old fashioned camera things well...they are dangerous.
