Two Portraits

Looking a bit less miserable than the last one...X-E1, 18-55mm, LR4 and Auld Nik:

I took the next one with the Fuji XF1 while we were out celebrating Rhona finishing her Higher exams. However, I let her edit it herself in LR4, showing her the basic operations, then leaving her to it. Looks great to me.

EDIT: New version of first image

Thanks, Pete. I tried to open up the eyes more by using Viveza - but it looked digitally distorted. I also have a version without the rogue single hair on the right of the picture (my left), but somehow I prefer this version.

This one went nuts on 500px, very quickly entering Upcoming, and shortly after that into Popular - only the second time that's happened to me there. Oh well..

Pete, I went back to it, took more time with the eyes, and also got rid of the hair - which on closer inspection was a crack in the wall plaster. Replaced the first version with the new version.

chick magnet Rob - probably on a thousand ladies desktops by now ;)

Loving the selfie Rob, it's dark and sinister and I dig that :D

Iv'e come to these two images not so much as individual images, but picked up on the idea of how each has been approached rendering an image of ones self. The results are quite defined.
Nice one Rob.
