Two Studies in White Paper

The first is slightly hard-edged and high contrast, though not as high as it could go. The second has reduced sharpness, softening the paper a little.

The paper was in a package from the US, protecting a book called "Listening To The River" by Robert Adams, which - as I am doing a river project - I thought I might learn from. It arrived today, and first impressions are that he is a wonderful, slow, meditative soul, and I like his work a lot.

Leica Monochrom and 75mm 1.25 lens.

An interesting compare and contrast. The longer I look, the greater the differences become.
The first does feel hard, almost agressive; the second soft and gentle - a cosy bed for a cat.

Ah, no cats in this house, or dogs, but I could always dive in head first myself...

I like the softness of the second . Reminds me a bit of a rose. The first looks like ... Papercuts, yikes !!

Interesting. The second has the more immediate appeal although I like the high contrast in the first. I find the background distracting though.
