Under Glass

This was taken last summer in the glasshouses at West Dean House but I've only just got around to editing it. Originally it was the door handle that attracted me but I also love the big iron pipes disappearing through the wall. The glasshouses are partly under ground to help keep them warm. Great place to visit if you are ever in the Petersfield area.

Pete I love what's happening with the reflections on the other side of the door and on the glass itself. And for some reason the light reflecting off the tops of the pipes on this side of the door has a very nice appeal. Over it all the tone you have selected works very nicely indeed. Very nice fotie, Pete!

Thank you all. Actually it was a quite restful place. It was during the week so we had the kitchen gardens pretty much to ourselves ad these, only partially used, glasshouses had the feeling of a secret place. The partially buried nature and the blinds on the glass really produced some wonder light and shade and the light inside was surprising soft given how bright and sunny it was out.

Lovely light Pete, and the slight halo and vignette in the PP gives it a lovely dreamy quality

Really nice Pete!
some very nice glowy softness going on!
the cracks in the wall around the pipes appeal to me for some reason
